THURSDAY — THE CHANGE
● Pray:
Father, You are the wise and faithful Vinekeeper who lovingly prunes Your people for their good and Your glory. Though discipline and refinement are often painful, Your purposes are perfect and full of mercy. Teach me not to resist Your sanctifying work, but to trust You in every season. Expose the sin, pride, fear, and self-reliance that hinder abiding in Christ. Conform me more and more into the image of Your Son.
● Read:
John 15:1–5
Hebrews 12:3–11
Romans 8:28–30
1 John 3:1–10
● Reflect:
Why does God prune branches that are already bearing fruit? How can suffering, correction, or disappointment become tools God uses for sanctification? Where are you tempted to resist conviction or cling to sin rather than submit to the Lord’s work in your life? What areas of your life might God be calling you to surrender more fully to Him?
● Respond:
Praise God that He disciplines His children in love and never wastes suffering in the lives of His people. Confess where pride, comfort, or fear have kept you from obedience and repentance. Thank the Lord that He is committed to completing the good work He began in His people. Ask Him to make you humble, teachable, holy, and fruitful as you abide in Christ.
